Pre-Sales Job Description

What is a Pre-Sales Professional?

A pre-sales person is someone who provides support to a sales team, typically by providing product demonstrations, responding to technical queries from prospects, and helping to create proposals. A pre-sales engineer is typically involved in the early stages of the sales cycle, before a prospect has committed to purchasing a product or service. The role of a pre-sales can vary depending on the size and structure of an organization, but usually includes some combination of technical support, product demonstration, proposal writing, and customer training. In many organizations, the pre-sales team works closely with the marketing department to develop lead generation campaigns and generate interest in new products or services. As the name suggests, a pre-sales professional is someone who comes before the actual sale is made. They are responsible for creating awareness about what you are selling , be it a product or service. Pre-sales play an important role later in identifying any objections that customers may have towards making a purchase decision as well as building relationships between buyers (customers) and sellers (the company). Simply put – they’re there to help make the sale without actually closing it themselves.
