They use their skills in statistical analysis and financial markets knowledge to help organisations make informed decisions about how to allocate resources in order to minimise potential losses. What does a Risk Manager Expert do?

Risk management is an ongoing process that starts with identifying possible risks and then assessing their likelihood and potential impact. Once risks have been identified and assessed, risk managers will develop strategies for dealing with them. These strategies may involve avoiding the risk altogether, transferring the risk to another party (such as through insurance), or taking steps to reduce the chance of the risk occurring or mitigating its impact if it does occur. Organisations face a variety of risks including financial risks such as market fluctuations or interest rate changes; operational risks such as production problems or IT failures; reputational risks arising from negative publicity; and compliance risks related to regulations or contracts.
