Understanding of hotel services, standards and procedures for guest service delivery at upper-tier levels and ability to apply these methods within an independent property. 4. Knowledgeable about restaurants, transportation services, attractions and events in the surrounding areas to be able to provide guests with recommendations that suit their needs/desires best (if applicable). Training: 1. Training on service delivery methods used by top tier properties within the hospitality industry setting (including customer care skills). 2. Training in software systems used for guest reservations/hotel administration tasks such as Opera PMS (Property Management System) or Adaco EPOS etc.. Qualifications & Education Requirements: 1 . High school diploma / GED equivalent is minimum requirement for this role; relevant college degree is preferred but not required depending on position applied for . 2 . Certification like Certified Room Associate from American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute or other hospitality organizations may be preferred by employers depending upon position being hired into . 3 . Any other valid state licenses or certifications are also desired by employers that applicant might possess but it’s not mandatory unless stated explicitly in job description Expertise: 1 . Understanding guest needs quickly and meeting those efficiently while maintaining professionalism throughout process along with upselling techniques whenever necessary 2 Knowing how to prioritize tasks effectively thus managing delegation of duties well so that no issue remains unresolved anymore than needed while proactively anticipating anticipated problems based on past experiences 3 Problem solving abilities coupled with excellent spoken & written communication skills are must-haves when it comes down to successfully working as expert concierge
