Industry Experience: - Minimum of 3 years in the beauty field, preferably with exposure to a variety of services and techniques - Mentorship and apprenticeship with an experienced beautician or makeup artist - Hands on experience performing treatments such as facials, manicures/pedicures, hair styling, body wraps/detoxes etc. Training: - Certificate III in Beauty Services or equivalent certification - Attendance at high quality training courses covering a range of products and services offered by the salon/spa (eg. Makeup application) Qualifications: - Diploma of Beauty Therapy or equivalent qualification from TAFE or other recognized institutes - Additional qualifications for specialities including massage therapy, advanced waxing techniques etc. would be beneficial but not essential Education: - High school graduation is desirable for the development of customer service skills as well as gaining understanding in basic accounting principles such as costings; stock control
